    • About CYBOX

Welcome to CYBOX – your online platform for exchange, training, and resource sharing on cybercrime and electronic evidence.

With the rise of cybercrime and the increasing reliance on electronic evidence, it is essential for professionals in the criminal justice sector to stay ahead of the criminals. CYBOX is designed to meet the evolving training needs of judges, prosecutors, law enforcement agencies, and other key stakeholders in the criminal justice system worldwide.

CYBOX creates an environment in which countries cooperating with the Cybercrime Programme Office of the Council of Europe (C-PROC) can increase their capacity to investigate and prosecute cybercrime.

Moreover, CYBOX also supports the use of tenants, allowing each country or institution to have its own dedicated space within the platform. This functions as a separate environment under the same framework, where organizations can manage their own courses, resources, and users. In this way, institutions benefit from both the independence of a private space and the advantages of being part of the wider CYBOX community.

To find out more about the CYBOX tenants or resources available, please consult:

The platform is not open for public use, and only accredited users can access the platform. The primary beneficiaries of this platform are a country's criminal justice authorities and their respective training institutions (law enforcement academies, judicial academies, etc.)

Most resources available on CYBOX are restricted for the use of criminal justice authorities. You can acess them by enrolling to this platform by clicking the “Register” button (top right corner of this page) and creating an account. Registration is only possible under an institutional email.

To receive a tenant - your own dedicated space and secure space on CYBOX, first create a user account and log in, then please click on the "Request a Tenant" button located in the top left on the navigation bar, and fill in the registration form. To be approved, please provide all information requested. A Council of Europe staff member will review your application and create a tenancy for your institution.

On CYBOX you will find trainer-assisted and self-paced courses covering various aspects of cybercrime investigation and prosecution, webinars, case studies, research reports, e-books and guides covering various aspects of cybersecurity, from basic principles to advanced topics. Moreover, registered users will find regular updates on the latest cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices to ensure that criminal justice authorities remain informed about the rapidly evolving landscape of cybercrime.

Relevant training institutions, independent consultants or experts are welcomed to share their training materials on CYBOX’s repository. Materials can be shared either within a specific country tenant (i.e., accessible only for the users of a particular country) or with the CYBOX global community.

CYBOX follows strict security and data protection standards to safeguard all user information and training materials. Access is restricted to authorized users, and each dedicated space (tenant) is managed independently to ensure confidentiality.
